William Martin and Christine Anna Toellner Rowe



   

(L) The 24 July 1901 wedding photo of William Martin and Christine Anna Toellner Rowe, at the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lone Elm. He had been born on 11 June 1873 in Clarks Fork and she on 26 August 1879 in Lone Elm, where they were to live after their wedding before they moved to Boonville on 04 July 1909.

Both of Christine's parents, Christopher Toellner and Anna Louise Timm, were immigrants from Germany. William Rowe's father, Johann David Rau, had also immigrated from Germany, but his wife, Rebekah Ann Goodman, had been born in Wooldridge. After having been one of the founders of the German Evangelical Church in Boonville, Rau later moved to Clarks Fork and was also one of the founders of the Clarks Fork (German) Trinity Lutheran Church.

(R) Christine and William Martin Rowe in the early 1930s. William died on 29 March 1936; Christine died on 30 September 1960. They are buried in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Boonville.
