Obituary For David Rowe
DAVID ROWE was native born in Roettert, Germany, on 31 March 1833
[sic. other records show his year of birth as 1834]. At
age 20, he crossed the Atlantic on a sailing ship in 49 days. He landed
in New Orleans, remained there a short time, and then came to Cooper
County to reside.

On 02 January 1859 he married Rebecca A. Goodman (who survives). They
had nine children; two died in early childhood. He died at age 83 years,
9 months, 27 days on 28 January 1917 at the home of one of his daughters
near Tipton [this would have been Ida May, e.g. Mrs. Harry Sponcler, born
23 July 1880]. Funeral services will be in the Boonville Evangelical
Church on Tuesday. Interment will be in Walnut Grove cemetery in
Boonville.

- Mrs. Edward Mullen, Austin, Missouri

- William M. Rowe, Boonville, Missouri
- Carroll Rowe, Boonville, Missouri
David Rowe had been in poor general health for the last two years. He
died of old age.
